Writing
When I’m not working, I enjoy writing. Please feel free to check out an essay I wrote for Quell Skateboarding about an injury that turned into a renewed appreciation for Buddhism, and my small but special Substack where I publish blog posts about movies!
Illustration
I’ve had the privilege of supporting fun projects with my illustration skills.
For example, I illustrated a children's book for my amazing friend, Colin Lieu - founder of Multitasking Yogi. I had always admired Colin's work as a yoga teacher at NYC public schools so I leaped at the opportunity to convey his teachings through illustration and story. The book has been published and is now on sale! It has been written about by Kids Yoga Daily, and it's already stocked at Align Brooklyn - a boutique Wellness Studio located in Brooklyn. Learn more about the book here.
In 2020, the Times Square Alliance also commissioned me for illustrations that they used as part of a neighborhood scavenger hunt. I was asked to draw everyday New Yorkers - Broadway fans, MTA employees, postal workers, dog walkers, construction workers, and other people you might see walking through Times Square. The illustrations were featured on PIX 11 with a call for participants to look out for these cute characters in local businesses and Broadway theaters.
